Within the overarching concept of creating a sense of community leads me to strategize different ways community centers offer different amenities and services to communities. By analyzing the predominant industrial area of Los Angeles, the immediate community lacks different amenities for the neighborhood industrial workers and future surrounding residential community. A recreational community center dedicated to offer amenities to the neighborhood becomes a way where the community can develop an enhanced lifestyle alongside the L.A. River.

The design of the building hinges on the limited site access, program opportunities, riverside and street frontage, views of Downtown L.A., as well as natural ventilation whereas the main programs of the building focuses primarily on offering leisure amenities to the members.
