This project, located on a prominent corner lot in East Hollywood, features ground-floor retail beneath five stories of residential apartments, with both ground-floor and subterranean parking. Originally, the focus of the project was to reskin the building’s facade; however, as the design progressed, significant updates were made to the floor plan, parking layout, as well as the building’s mass to enhance both functionality and overall design. My role involved developing efficient unit layouts that maximized space and revising the parking configuration to better comply with city requirements and support the design vision. In addition, I was responsible for revising drawing sets to comply with ADA and Green building requirements to align with local building codes. Throughout the process, I collaborated closely with the team to ensure that these updates were seamlessly integrated into the project, keeping it on track with client objectives and submittal requirements.
